The harvest has recently concluded at Follador Prosecco dal 1769, marking the start of a new chapter of place, dedication and passion. The 2025 vintage has delivered grapes of outstanding quality thanks to favourable conditions and daily work that blends tradition, innovation and a commitment to sustainability.
The picking began around a week earlier than last year, driven by early ripening following abundant rainfall and above-average temperatures at the end of July. As harvest approached, weather and temperatures proved particularly kind, yielding healthy bunches with an excellent sugar balance and lively acidity.
“With the chatter in the vineyards quiet and the last carts stilled, as the final musts gently finish fermenting, we can take a moment for a first assessment,” says Federico Salvador, winemaker at Follador Prosecco dal 1769. “The grapes were pristine from a health standpoint, with good sugar levels and vibrant acidity. Thanks to the Gianfranco Follador Method and our experience, we’re bringing out the best of the harvest: the base wines already show fine organoleptic complexity, with pronounced floral and citrus notes. It’s a result that rewards the dedication, know-how and innovation we bring to each vintage, always with sustainability in mind.”
For Follador, the end of harvest is not a finish line but a new starting point toward a year that promises great satisfaction — once again expressing the authenticity and uniqueness of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene terroir.
“The harvest has always been a special moment,” adds Cristina Follador, Commercial and Marketing Director. “It culminates a year of work and returns each time with the same enthusiasm and commitment. We can’t wait to discover the wines this new vintage will bring.”
